Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server Client Access License (TS CAL) We discussed the TS CAL (either per-device, per-user, or External Connector License) in the previous section. We've been running it here for a while without any issues. Normally, I just connect to the server using Terminal Services to do any maintenance on the server but for the last few days it does not allow me to connect. The error I recieve is: 'The remote session was disconnected because there are no Terminal Server License Servers available to provide a license.
Please contact the server administrator.' The only thing that I can think of that may have affected this is that we've added a second network card to the server. I get the same error when trying to connect to either NIC. Can someone explain what is happening and how I can correct it? Do you have a TS Licensing Server installed and activated? Do you have enough available TS CALs on the Licensing Server? I don't think that the Partner software comes with any TS CALs. How to install wilcom 2006 sp4 r2 on windows 7. It also sounds as if the only thing you want is Remote Desktop for Administration.
If that is the case, then completely uninstall Terminal Services (TS implies Application mode, which needs additional licenses). I assume that the event log would have some evidence that the grace period ended. I have the exact same issue on several 2008 Servers. It seems that 08 TS Licensing acts differently than 2003 TS. I have one site that has 20 TS Device CALs. They have 14 devices that they connect, but we also do remote support through the warehouse and any of several support techs may need to log into this server as administrator. Currently all of the temp licenses are used up by support tech computers, some of which have been issued permanent CALs, even though they are logging in as administrators.
