GTA V Launcher crash Sohaib Sep 20, 2016, 2:49 AM EDIT: Re-installing NVIDIA drivers and verifying game cache as well as temporarily moving GTA V settings file in documents fixed this problem for me. After watching GTA V ship for current-gen consoles last November, PC gamers are finally getting their chance to play in Rockstar’s latest sandbox this week. To use the benchmark tool in GTA V, simply launch the game and navigate to the “graphics” menu.
Nice thread, this is one issue I have struggled with since I started to modify GTA 5. Backup is a good tip, then atleast you have earlier version of the game. I have problems with GTAVLauncherBypass. It works for some time, then suddenly Rockstar login window pop ups when game is loading.
Yeah it avoid the first launcher window and jump straight to loading game, but Rockstar login window pop up sooner or later. I dont know if it will do any updating or downloading this way, but I cant avoid rockstar login forever sadly. I see that there is some suggestions to go to offline mode and block GTA 5 from internet but I can't get this to work in the long run either. Anyone have any other working methods from stopping GTA 5 from updating indefinitely? Yeah I created a link to GTAV.exe, and I only use that, so I never get the launcher login.
But the login to Rockstar pop up when game is loading. It worked for 7-8 days then I got the rockstar login. And again it worked for around 10 days before login pop up again.

I've already installed the update; anyone else experiencing this? EDIT: Is there anyone else that got Gta V from a different vendor, besides steam, that's having these issues?

EDIT 2: (NVIDIA FIX with an integrated graphics) Disable your NVIDIA Graphics card so you can finish patching. Then re-enable the nvidia card.
Thanks to EDIT 3: To disable the card, go to device manager, find the card, right-click, and disable. I've just finally figured this out too; if you add 'GTAVLauncher.exe' and 'PlayGTAV.exe' as exclusions under Defense+ Settings -> Execution Control Settings it may fix your problem (without having to uninstall Comodo), even if you already have Defense+ and Execution Control disabled. I had discounted Comodo as a cause due to the fact that my mate runs exactly the same version, and his launcher was working fine. I think that may be due to his game being the Steam version, and somehow this negates Comodo's potential to detect the launcher as a false positive.
