Any professional design should be available in some VECTOR format, which can be converted in a LOSSLESS way to either to a PNG image or even directly to an embroidery design. Corel DRAWings can convert between SVG vector images (the web\'s standard vector image format) to DST. This said, you can always use a program to trace a raster image and produce a vector image from it. But the results will never be the same as working straight from a source vector image.
